This was my first commercially released project that started as a university capstone project with a 5 other classmates where we were inspired by Mega Man 2. We created the base game in 4 months, then we spent another 3 months wrapping up the project.
I was the lead systems designer on this game, however, I also helped make one of the boss enemies (The Space Queen) and a level (The space level). I created nearly all of the backend systems in the game which included enemy basics, weapon manager, quest manager, and more.
There were a lot of lessons learned on this project, specifically the requirements of "finishing a game" and that more content does not directly correlate with a better game. We were also unable to secure any artists for this project, so the game is stylized with "programmer art".
